What’s in Season this Time of Year?

Inshore (Core Sound) Fish to Smoke:

  • Jumping Mullets (Striped Mullet) are here to smoke almost year round except in the coldest months.

  • Bluefish are generally plentiful year round.

  • Speckled Trout (aka Spotted Seatrout) are also plentiful year round.

Offshore (Atlantic Ocean) Fish to Smoke:

  • Black Sea Bass are generally available year round.

  • Mahi-Mahi (Dolphinfish) are generally available in the warm/hot months.

  • Spanish Mackerel are generally available in the warm/hot months.

  • Snapper, Grouper, and certain Tuna species are available when their seasons are open.
